Batter Up: Breaking the Curse with Our 'Curse of the Bambino' Centennial IPA

Batter Up: Breaking the Curse with Our 'Curse of the Bambino' Centennial IPA

Our new beer! We wanted to try our hand at an American IPA using American hops, sourcing a new-to-us hop named Centennial.
When coming up with the name we looked for something that happened 100 years ago - Centennial - with an American connection. We found in 1919, the legendary baseball player Babe Ruth was transferred from Boston Red Sox to their bitter rivals, the New York Yankees. Subsequently, the Red Sox went on a trophy-less run from 1919 to 2004 creating the "Curse of the Bambino"; Bambino being Babe Ruth's nickname.
Our take on "Curse of the Bambino" is a 'red-ish' American IPA - we hope you enjoy!
